Family Advocacy Services

We provide family counseling, couples counseling, parenting counseling, and treatment services through a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities. We provide intervention services for adult and child maltreatment cases. We provide prevention services for families, couples, and parents through general counseling, outreach classes, and new parent support for families with children ages newborn to 3 years old. Primary Care Behavioral Health

- First stop for mental health help within the military treatment facility
- Four to six sessions, 30 minutes each, short-term therapy with direct interventions focused on behavioral change
- Provides targeted intervention for mild-moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, sleep concerns, adjustment/transition
- Records of sessions are kept in the military electronic health records system
Military One Source

- Location: Office of an off-base therapist
- Individuals will be matched with off-base therapists for 12-20 free, 45-60-minute sessions, which often occur on a weekly basis
- More suitable for individuals meeting criteria for mental health conditions (i.e. anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, etc.)
- Records are kept of visits and may be requested by the military mental health system
Military Family Life Counselors

- Provides free. Supportive-based counseling to active duty service members and dependents
- Provides support for individuals dealing with adjustment/transition issues, stress, marital difficulties, deployment cycle issues, communication, aggression, parenting, and grief/loss
