Laboratory
We provide support to 375th Medical Group outpatient clinics and eligible beneficiaries who are assigned to an on-base PCM.
The lab will no longer accept paper lab orders from beneficiaries who are not assigned to a 375th MDG PCM. These beneficiaries will need to use a local TRICARE-approved
network laboratory instead.
We are a limited-service laboratory performing basic testing. Specialized tests, histopathology, and cytology specimens are shipped outside the facility to military and civilian reference laboratories. You can expect to receive results for these tests in seven to 14 business days.
We also support the fight against cancer as a C.W. Bill Young, Department of Defense National Marrow Donor Registration Site. Marrow donor services are available from daily, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Important Information
- You can obtain copies of your results from the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal and the TRICARE Operations and Patient Administrations, Release of Information Department. In addition, you can request copies of results by presenting your identification card at the laboratory front desk.
Appointments have priority and are available to all beneficiaries who are assigned to a 375th MDG PCM. Please arrive at the laboratory at least five, but no earlier than 15, minutes before your appointment. Please check in at the kiosk.
- Walk-ins should check in at the kiosk. Walk-in services are first come, first served. As a result, you may experience long wait times. To help meet mission and readiness requirements, active duty service members, National Guard, Reservists, and NGA members have priority during normal business hours. For cholesterol panel, timed glucose drink test, or genetics/chromosome analysis testing, please try to walk in before noon.
- For personnel with a PCM assigned to the 375th MDG, if a network provider gave you a script for lab orders, make sure the laboratory receives it at least three duty days before your appointment or before you arrive for walk-in services. Otherwise, you will need to return on another date. You can drop off your lab orders at the laboratory front desk or have your provider fax lab orders to 618-256-7635.
- The laboratory cannot process any lab orders that are more than 60 days from the provider’s signature, per Defense Health Agency policy. If lab orders are more than 60 days from the provider’s signature, you will need to obtain a more current script for lab orders.
- Check with your provider to see if you are required to fast for your blood draw. The laboratory cannot advise patients on whether they should fast for a blood draw.
- Due to wait times and shipping requirements, the following tests can only be collected during certain times and days:
