Walk-In Contraceptive Services

Get your contraceptive care in one place: the 375th Medical Group at Scott Air Force Base.

All beneficiaries, regardless of gender identity, are eligible for care and counseling at walk-in contraceptive clinics and can receive education on safe sexual practices, contraceptives, and STI prevention and treatment.

The clinic is open Mondays, 8 – 10 a.m.

Services Offered

  • Education on all birth control methods
  • Prescription and administration of:
    • Birth control pills
    • Birth control patches
    • Vaginal rings (NuvaRing, Annovera)
    • Birth control injection (Depo-Provera)
    • Etonogestrel implants (Nexplanon)
    • Intrauterine devices (Mirena, Kyleena, Skyla, Paragard)
    • Condoms
    • Spermicides
    • Vasectomy preoperative evaluations

How it Works

No appointment necessary. Check in at the front desk, on the third floor of the Women’s Health section, during walk-in clinic hours. Again, services are for all genders. Education will be provided on different birth control methods. A urine sample may be required to perform a pregnancy test. Once a negative result is confirmed, the chosen birth control method will be offered on the same day.

Along with walk-in services, beneficiaries can also make an appointment by calling the well line at 618-256-9355 or visit the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal and message their primary care provider or the OB/GYN clinic. No referral needed for contraceptives.
